This is a modern interpretation of a windbreaker, a jacket you keep in your pocket in reserve for a long descent or put on for the first hour of riding before the temperature rises. This jacket used to be a simple affair – nylon fabric – but due to no elasticity, the cut had to be made o something looser to suit all body shapes, both on and off the bike.

At Castelli, they rethought how such a jacket should be made. They added panels on the sides and on the sleeves, which are very elastic, made of a strong knitted fabric. This allowed them to give the jacket a modern cut, close to the body and to achieve an aerodynamic advantage at every moment. But in fact, thanks to this, it retains more heat than a jacket that flaps in the wind. They have also kept the design very compact so that it takes up minimal space in the jersey pocket. The stretch panels are treated to repel water, which will help in light mist, but don’t treat it as a rain jacket. Product features
